It was fall time and Halloween was just around the corner. Every store was having sales of Halloween decorations, costumes, and candy. Also people were getting ready to see nonstop horror movie marathons again as well as a Halloween based play at a theater.
Speaking of theaters: at the Moon theater, Buster Moon was in his office getting some paperwork done and thinking of a play to host until there was a knock at the door. "Come in," Buster called in a response. The person that was knocking was Rosita, Buster looked up from his work and saw the mother of 25 children.
"Oh hi Rosita, what brings you in here?" Buster asked. Rosita walked inside Buster's office and took a seat. "Well Buster, since Halloween is coming up in a couple of weeks, I was hoping if you like to hear my ideas for a play to present?" Rosita asked. "Sure Rosita what do you had in mind?" Buster responded. "I was thinking either Sweeney Todd, Frankenstein, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, or Nightmare before Christmas," Rosita suggested.
The theater owner took a sip of coffee while writing down Rosita's suggestions. "Well Rosita I really like your ideas and I have some notes written down as well," Buster said, handing his notepad to Rosita. "Oh so you like three of them?" Rosita asked. "Yes because if we even try to do Frankenstein," Buster answered, "the power might go out during the middle of the show and I don't want that to happen again."
"I can completely understand that, Buster," Rosita said, with a motherly nod. "So why don't we try to debate on this final decision with the group?" Buster asked, getting off of his chair. The mother of 25 children agreed, while she and the theater owner exit out of the office and to the stage.

At the stage, Miss Crawley was providing a list of new songs to everyone for next month but was wondering where Rosita could be. Just then, Rosita and Buster entered the room. Everyone looked up. "Oh there you are Mr. Moon, I have passed out the list of songs you wanted me to hand out," Miss Crawley replied, "I just have to give Rosita her list."
"Thank you Miss Crawley but I have a big announcement that may have just answered our question on which Halloween based play to present here, with Rosita's help especially," Buster replied with a slight chuckle to Rosita.
"What is it, Mr. Moon? Meena asked. "Is it something spectacular with huge musical power?" Gunter asked, with a huge grin. "Will it have horror?" Ash added in, with a eager smirk on her face. "I hope it's not too scary to handle," Johnny said, looking nervous after hearing Ash's expectation. "Will it be something that I can achieve amazingly?" Mike asked, crossing his arms seriously but greatly.

"Well we have narrowed down to three choices; Sweeney Todd, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, or Nightmare before Christmas," Rosita answered. "Man, I love Sweeney Todd," Ash answered, "all the excitement and epicness of Sweeney Todd's slaughtering. "I do love Sweeney Todd and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," Johnny slightly smiled, "the music is amazing and I do love the setting in both plays, as they are cultured and done well. As for Nightmare before Christmas it's a fusion movie success." "Já! I have to agree with you too Johnny," Gunter respond with a grin. "I also like The Nightmare before Christmas, so spectacular!" "Even if the two plays a-are great and have wonderful m-music," Meena replied quietly fiddling with her hooves, "they're bit too gorey and too frightful for me. But I d-do like the writing, songs, and characters from Nightmare before Christmas." "I like both of those plays but I seem to have Nightmare before Christmas at the top of classic greatness and songs that I like the most," Mike answered.

After writing down the theater gang's responses, Buster answered; "According to your responses and opinions, the most popular one seems to be Nightmare before Christmas." "I do love it, that is my favorite family-friendly Tim Burton movie," Rosita answered, "Casper kinda reminds me of Lock, Shock, and Barrel." "My mother says I'm like Sally at most of the times," Meena smiled shyly. "I really love the songs there and I do fit Jack Skellington's personality," Mike smirked proudly.
"I guess we can do a friendly Halloween play," Ash shrugged politely, with a soft smile. "That's the spirit, Ash!" Rosita smiled proudly. "Then we have a show to work on!" Buster cried in joy.
After reading my friend PhoenixFirre 's Sing Halloween based stories and seeing the art that has Mike dressed as Jack Skellington, I decided to write a Halloween based story on Sing where Buster, with Rosita's help, figure out on which Halloween play should be presented at the theater.

Story idea is mine
The characters are from Sing and belong to Universal/Illumination

Inspiration came from PhoenixFirre

This is awesome, especially that you added Sweeny Todd and Nightmare Before Christmas! Great job, can't wait for the next page. And haha, I'm glad I've been a good influence.
